Useful objects.
Unrepeatable character.
This is less a catalogue than a record of what rescued timber can become. Every piece is handmade, and every design is guided by the grain, marks, dimensions and previous life of the wood available.
01 — Serving trays
Made for carrying, sharing and gathering
Bring something good to the table.
Garden furniture, pallet wood and discarded shelving have all found new life here. Hardwood splines, contrasting handle details and natural oil-and-wax finishes turn those unlikely ingredients into generous, practical trays — each led by the grain and marks of the timber available.

Commission a piece02 — Chopping boards
Everyday boards with uncommon character
Made to be used. Made to be seen.
Built from rescued timber selected for strength, colour and grain, these boards can carry more than food. One series began as furniture Steven’s daughters played on as children; twenty-five years later, it became chopping boards for their own homes — useful objects made to hold a memory and outlive their maker.

Commission a piece03 — Pencil boxes
A proper home for the tools of an idea
Small boxes. Rich stories.
Old shelves, pallet boards and skip-found hardwood become crisp rebate joints, sliding lids and tactile desk companions. Some designs use contrasting milk paint; others preserve a pallet stamp as a hidden detail. Every lid is fitted by hand for that quiet, satisfying close.

Commission a piece04 — Catch-all trays
A resting place for life’s smaller things
Keep the everyday close at hand.
An old tabletop or shabby shelf can become a resting place for keys, coins, cards and the little things emptied from your pockets at the end of the day. Some designs have hand-carved hollows; others use dividers and a painted interior to give everyday essentials a place of their own. Natural grain, knots and marks keep the timber’s character in view.

Commission a piece05 — Coasters
Useful pieces, composed from what remains
A small stage for beautiful timber.
Coasters are a natural home for the short lengths and slender offcuts too characterful to waste. Mixed reclaimed species become miniature studies in colour and grain — proof that even the smallest remnants can earn a useful new life.

Commission a piece06 — Keepsake boxes
New stories held inside older ones
Made for what you want to keep.
Humble pallet pine and rescued hardwood are brought together with crisp mitres, fitted lids and carefully placed details. Original stamps and construction marks are often preserved — sometimes openly, sometimes as a hidden reminder of the box’s first life.

Commission a piece07 — Tables
Furniture shaped by the material’s first life
A place to gather. A story to live with.
The work is not limited to the dinky and dainty. Old shelving, pallet stretchers, fence boards and other unwanted lumber can become coffee tables, console tables, side tables and practical furniture. The same principle applies at every scale: let the old wood lead the design, preserve its story and build for a long new life.
